What to Expect
The first thing you can expect when walking through our doors is to be greeted with a friendly smile by an usher happy to answer any questions you may have.
If you have children under the age of five, you can either check them into our nursery or keep them with you. We also have a cry room at the back of our sanctuary where you are free to watch the service with your child by your side.
For older children (Kindergarten through 6th grade), we have our kids stay in the service during worship, so that they can sing along with us. After the music, the children are dismissed to go downstairs for age-appropriate classes taught by our team of certified (back-ground checked) volunteers.
The first Sunday of the month, however, is Family Sunday when kids stay in the service so they can partake in communion, and as practice for what it will be like when they are grown ups too.
Teenagers (middle school and high school) are also encouraged to stay in the service regularly, though every now and then our leaders will take them out for coffee and/or invite them to help set up and serve donuts for our fellowship hour.
During our Sunday Services, you will see a lot of people wearing business casual attire (think casual Fridays at the office – and yes, we consider blue jeans as casual). Our services usually consist of three to four worship songs (a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship music), a Bible-based sermon, and a rotation of traditional items like the Doxology, the Lord’s prayer, offering, and/or communion. The services usually last around an hour and are followed by an informal time of coffee and snacks.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to share any prayer requests with us.
