Andrew and his wife, Jennifer, are both native to California. They attended, met, graduated, and were married at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. Soon after their wedding they moved overseas, first to Panama City, Panama, and then to Guinea, West Africa. They spent a total of nine years living and working internationally as school teachers and children’s pastors. It was also during this time that Nat and Abi were added to the family, born two years apart.
In 2013, the Lord called the Edmonds to move to Edmonds, Washington to work for Breakthrough Partners, a missions organization serving impoverished communities around the world. In 2014 Andrew was also hired on at Faith Community church as the family pastor, all the while completing a masters in Theology and Ministry with Fulller Seminary. By 2017, Breakthrough shut down and Andrew was hired on more or less full-time at FCC.
Following Phil Assink’s retirement in June of 2019, Andrew was invited to serve as lead pastor for Faith. He began his tenure and commissioning process with the RCA in September. Andrew’s desire for Faith Community church is that we Know, Grow, and Overflow — Know God, His Word, and His family intimately and personally; grow in our faith and obedience to God, and in our relationships with one another; and overflow, sharing God’s love with those around us, and infecting others with the peace and joy we have in Christ.
In his spare time, Andrew loves playing sports, hanging out with his family, and watching T.V. He volunteers as a coach for his kids’ sports teams, and can be seen working out at the gym on a regular basis.
